If you yearn for beautiful beaches and sea in front of you and the Tuscan countryside in your backyard, the Estruscan Coast, which stretches from the city of Livorna down to Piombino, may be for you. From Piombino it’s a short ferry ride to Elba, the island to which Napoleon was exiled. (Seems he had it pretty good by the way… Elba is cherished by locals and far less known to tourists than Sardegna and Sicily…).
